Bixby Knolls Community Events: First Fridays.

The constant construction around here has been keeping one of the best things about living in Bixby Knolls on hiatus. That is: First Fridays. All along Atlantic Avenue, you can hear the sounds of live music, you can take in anything from Taco stands to fine dining, and enjoy the weather and the best parts of living in Bixby Knolls.

Local Artists and musicians and craftsmen are all promoted by local businesses to make it all a hapening party.

Some of the venues open at 5:30 pm, just after work, and if parking is too much of a chore, you can go on the Big Red Bus all up and down Atlantic Avenue.

For us, it was a welcome return–with the construction and the economy, it’s always good to support fellow local businesses.

If you haven’t done so, check out out Nino’s Italian Restaraunt. Our review shows it to be an absolutely stellar place, and a huge amount of flavor for your money. And you’re supporting local business that has invested in the community.

First Fridays is a great time to meet up with friends, take pictures and have fun. You can listen to all kinds of jazz, steel drum or even bar bands. There’s always a good turnout, and an energetic crowd.
